A Different Standard of Bodywork

Bodywork has been shown to provide relief in people who suffer from muscle pain, however because of the diversity of training from one therapist to another, this effect is difficult to duplicate.  In this practice, we combine therapy with a comprehensive evaluation to solve a pain complaint.  In other words, we look diligently for the underlying cause of a person's pain.  When we find something that is beyond the scope of what we do, the patient is referred to a physician who is a specialist and, most of all, personable to their patients.  We personally know all the physicians to whom we refer and know they will take the time to listen to their patients as to better help them with their condition.  In this way, we become a part of the healing process and not just another "dead end".

A visit here will ultimately prove the unique way in which every case is analyzed.  Every person is unique and the body, through careful examination, tells us what is stopping it from achieving homeostasis (normal function).  Since every person is different -- every case, no matter how similar to other cases, is approached differently.  By focusing on the person and listening to them, a better understanding is achieved -- and a resolution attained.

Dr. Travell, who was the White House Physician to JFK and Johnson, observed, “It's very hard to teach doctors that you look at every single person as something entirely individual and unique. You will then solve problems and you find that you leave your mind open and you get clues and cues - listening, watching, looking, and you say, ‘Oh my goodness, I haven't seen that in ages!"

This practice is built on the premise that through the careful examination of symptoms, modification of habit, and application of specific therapy and corrective actions a person's pain complaint may be alleviated.  In this way, we offer a comprehensive form of musculoskeletal pain management with the goal of pain elimination.  This site is designed to educate people about the practice of trigger point therapy and to answer some of the common questions that may arise.  If you would like more information please do not hesitate to contact me at jeff@musclepainhelp.com.
